19th October - A Spanish Feast
Eating out...with a difference
2024 has been the year that the Spanish knocked the French off the pedestal for being the ‘Mother of all Gastronomy.’
Spain and its diverse Latin American culinary history quite rightly deserves to be crowned the best in the word. With many of us re-discovering our ancestral heritage and love of wood fire cooking over the recent years, the Spanish are simply masters of wood fire & charcoal cookery.
Madrid is the birth place of the small plate ‘tapas’ concept of dining. Many of the top London restaurants are adapting their menu format towards this way of dining. We thought it was time to bring that to the Dutch Barn @ Owl Lodge!
Our resident musician Andrew Hurst will be playing his Spanish guitar to contribute to the atmosphere and Peter Vaughan will tell you more about the food you are eating. We hope that you will feel transported to an evening in Madrid.
