We've requests to put on a class specifically for men who don't spend much time in the kitchen and would like to be able to cook a simple meal (or two). Preparing food can be an enjoyable process, but is daunting if you don't really know where to start. We all need to eat so, whilst there are 'convenience' foods readily available, why not enjoy making some simple dishes from scratch? It is better for your budget, nutrition and it will give you a great sense of achievement
Emma Martin has a gift for explaining things clearly. She is patient, breaks skills down into manageable stages and will give you the confidence to expand your culinary repertoire further.
The group size is small so you have lots of support and learn three 'signature dishes' that will help you master basic kitchen skills and increase your competence.
What will I learn to cook?

Chilli con carne - make it as hot or as mild as you like + learn to chop an onion without crying!
- Perfect rice - tricky to get right until you know the secrets.

Foundation white sauce from which you can make a variety of useful dishes. This one you will turn into Mac 'N' Cheese with a crunchy gratin topping.
- Frittata - an easy way to use up your leftovers and produce a nutritious, tasty dish

Quick & easy chocolate brownies.
What happens on the day?
- The class is a busy hands-on session.
- All ingredients, equipment and aprons will be supplied PLUS we will do the washing up!
- The small group size enables you to get plenty of attention. You will be working in a friendly and sociable environment.
- For this session you will sit down together to enjoy one of the dishes at the end of the cooking session - and take the rest home with you.
