Eating out...with a difference
For our first pop-up dining experience of 2025, we are focusing on Malabar cuisine -that is Southwest India including the regions of Karnataka, Kerela & Cardamom mountains.
Malabar cuisine dates back to 7th century. Over the centuries it has been a melting pot of different cultures with influences from Arab traders, Portuguese colonizers and, of course, the British Crown rule. Together these influences have shaped the truly delicious & unique reginal cuisine
This area has a tropical climate & the land produces ingredients such as cardamon coconut, cinnamon, mustard, fenugreek & ginger.
Of course, Andrew Hurst will be there making fabulous music with his sitar & tabla drums. We can assure you that, whatever the mid-winter weather brings, inside the Dutch Barn at Owl Lodge, it will be warm, cosy and you will be submerged into the Indian atmosphere from the moment you arrive.
