Preparing food for yourself, family or friends can be rewarding and relaxing. Emma Martin describes the kitchen as her 'happy place' and she will help you find the same enjoyment in transforming simple ingredients into tasty meals with her helpful tips and techniques.
Designed to increase your confidence in the kitchen, the group size is small, lots of support and 'signature dishes' that will increase your competence.
We will cover basic techniques that will enable you to develop your skills and help with preparing meals that are easier on the Cook and not just easy to cook!
What will I learn to cook?

Chilli con carne - make it as hot or as mild as you like + learn to chop an onion without crying!
- Perfect rice - tricky to get right until you know the secrets

Foundation white sauce from which you can make a variety of useful dishes. This one you will turn into Mac 'N Cheese with a crunchy gratin topping

Fritatta - using your fridge leftovers to make a nutritious meal

Quick & easy chocolate brownies
What happens on the day?
- The class is a busy hands-on session.
- All ingredients, equipment and aprons will be supplied PLUS we will do the washing up!
- The small group size enables you to get plenty of attention. You will be working in a friendly and sociable environment.
- For this session you will be taking three dishes + brownies home with you and you won't be sitting down to eat at the cookery school.
